Book review - ¡Soy Adulto! (¿Ahora qué?) by Rafael H. Zurita

Hello y’all! As I told in another post I gotta read Rafa’s book and write a review for it, well here it is.

The book was written as a guide to the younglings that will experience things now they’ve entered -or are about to- adulthood. Things like:

  • University Admission Tests
  • The teachers
  • Your first job
  • Skills that can become powerful tools in your life.

All of this and more while Rafa narrates his life experiences while he was growing up, going to school and working. The book allows for any reader to understand the wisdom Rafa communicates through his writings than seems a lot like a chronicle and -maybe it’s just me- it transports you to the places Rafa describes.
As many of the comments you can find on Amazon about the book I can also say that “I wish I would have read that book when I was a teenager”.

This is a book you can read in a couple of hours -as it has only 127 pages-, but the wisdom sticks with you and also you can feel while reading it that it has something between the lines and inspires you to keep moving forward. Now, I’m passing the book to my 17 years old son and hope he can too get inspired and plan his future challenges knowing Rafa’s story and counting on meeting him one day. November 20th at Mexico Dreamin. ;)

I hope Rafa can gives us a new edition or why not a new book title adding his new stories in something like ‘Crónicas de Rafa’.

I can’t stop recommending this book specially for latin american teenagers and young adults as it contains valuable lessons, tips and part of the story of an amazing jarocho as Rafael Hernández Zurita.

Give it a shot if you can and read it.
